We DO Have (Apparently REALLY GREAT) Lab Space...

http://www.aesthetictechnologies.org/atlab/

Nothing I can find suggests that this is only available to students and faculty in the Fine Arts, and many of their workshops are designed for beginners (according to what I could find on the site).  Next year, this is probably where I am, if I am not in Alden!  This looks SO COOL!

  1. OH MY GOSH. This is like a writing center for technologies. TAKE THAT FSU!

I did find on the forms and procedures page this:
"To ensure that our facilities and resources are properly accessed and maintained, we require the submission of a one-time Lab Facilities Form. For PIN access to our facilities, you must have provide a printed and signed Lab Facilities form.* PIN access will allow 24-7 lab access for select spaces.

Note: Putnam Hall doors lock daily at 10pm with no exceptions; you must follow Ohio University Student Handbook regulations; you may not facilitate building access beyond 10pm."

I think you also have to fill out a form about your project and meet with a coordinator-type person that helps you. The more I read on the Forms & Procedures page the more intrigued I am: what EXACTLY is this?

  2. I think that the workshops on things like Word Press and Dreamweaver might be particularly useful to us, even if we don't have big projects that would require working directly with their tech specialists. Although I'm now working on a project proposal for a GPS-based essay for the iPad... because how cool would that be?

    1. Sarah,

This Prezi might be of some interest to you (for inspiration). From the infamous Matt Barton:
